In Japanese culture, trees are a symbol of creation. There is a Norse tradition, which regards trees as sacred symbols. A Celtic tradition believes trees to be the ancestors of mankind. Trees are also associated with knowledge because Gautam Buddha found enlightenment under a tree and several cultures believe that the alphabet came from the trees. The most wide spread interpretation, however, is that the trees represent greenery and hence, environmental friendliness.
